The Red Severum (Heros efasciatus) is a popular, brightly colored South American cichlid known for its vibrant red-orange flanks and peaceful demeanor. They make excellent centerpiece fish for large community tanks and generally coexist well with similarly sized tank mates

Tank Requirements

- Plants: Severums are prone to eating or digging up live plants. Sturdy, anchored species like Anubias or Java Fern are best.
- Filtration: Because they are large, messy eaters, highly efficient filtration is required to maintain water quality
